The Association contracts with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to provide members with direct on-line updating of employee and dependent records when your company signs up as a part of the TMTA Association Group through BCBSM.
With direct access to the BCBS computer system, we can process new hires, rehires, terminations, retirements, deaths, additions & deletions of dependents (marriages, births, deaths, etc.), order ID cards, change addresses & other incorrect or faulty information (wrong birthdates, incorrect social security numbers), and COBRA and Medicare changes. We do this on a daily basis so that your records and billings are up-to-date. Many changes can be handled by phone (248-488-0300, ext 1309) or faxing TMTA the information (248-488-0500) or e-mail to Elaine (elaine@thetmta.com).

We provide information on covered employees and their dependents, and on benefits and coverages, and applicable legislation.
There is no change for this service and it does not affect your rates in any way; you need to sign up for this service through your BCBS agent.
In addition, we are able to provide premium agent services such as discussing your coverages and making changes that better your benefits or reduce your costs when you make the TMTA Insurance Agency your agent of record.
