Tool and Die Recovery Zones

The Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) Board is allowed to designate up to 25 Tool and Die Renaissance Recovery Zones (Recovery Zones). The designation of a Recovery Zone is within the discretion of the MSF Board, pursuant to MCL 125.2688d.

The MSF has designated 24 Recovery Zones. The deadline to submit applications for the next round is Monday, September 15, 2008.

For companies seeking Recovery Zone status by being allowed to join an existing collaborative and Recovery Zone, a separate application for this situation must be submitted by a Recovery Zone on behalf of the company joining. A company being allowed to join still is required to meet all the requirements in the law. There is no deadline date for this circumstance; applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Recovery Zone designation would become effective the year after designation and would have a limited duration time.
